When should I change my bed base?

* How old is my flexible slatted bed base?

The golden rule is often 4 to 5 years. Even if it looks clean and in good condition, the internal components begin to sag and lose their support.


* How old is my fixed slatted bed base?

As long as the bed base doesn't creak and hasn't been damaged during handling or moving, there's no problem. However, this doesn't mean you shouldn't check that the slats are level.


* How old is my adjustable bed base?

We ask that you check the condition of your flexible slats; because a new mattress on a well-worn bed base will only prematurely and deliberately damage your new bedding.

For those seeking firm support, we recommend fixed slatted bed bases. These provide unilateral support for the mattress and prevent premature sagging over time. Flexible slatted or sprung bed bases offer a more balanced and supple suspension; it's ideal to pair them with the right mattress technology and the sleeper's body type. Our bed bases are made from wood sourced entirely from French forests. The poplar frame of our bed bases allows us to create a lightweight, sturdy, and rot-resistant product.

Choosing my electric bed base

Simple and effective!

Ideal for guest rooms or teenagers' rooms; sturdy and designed to be placed in a bed frame or on legs. This product, made of multi-ply beechwood slats, will provide airy and balanced support. We advise against pairing this type of bed base with spring mattresses, as the spacing between the slats does not allow the springs to be optimally supported and will cause the mattress to sag prematurely in the short term.
